Norwegian company Aircontactgruppen has firmed up its order with Sikorsky for the purchase of six S Ð 92 helicopters by signing a deposit agreement with the US manufacturer.
Aircontactgruppen will offer the aircraft for operating lease and had previously signed a letter of intent to buy the S-92s. The Oslo-based business is involved in travel, tourism and technology and its work includes global air brokering and local representation for various international airlines.
"The S-92 will provide operators with a versatile, advanced helicopter that features low operating costs coupled with outstanding performance," says Johan Stenersen, chairman of Aircontactgruppen.
Sikorsky president Dean Borgman adds: "The S-92 is well suited to operations in the rugged Nordic climate. We are looking forward to providing Aircontactgruppen and its customers with the S-92 helicopter and we appreciate the confidence the company has shown in the aircraft."
