Newjetco has opened an office in Tokyo and plans to begin managing corporate aircraft for Japanese owners in October. Chief executive Dominik Steiner says Newjetco will initially operate business jets using an air operator’s certificate (AOC) held by another company, but plans to apply for its own Japanese AOC in 2006. He says a Japanese corporation that currently operates its own aircraft has agreed to hand over management of a Falcon jet from October and Newjetco is in talks with other Japanese aircraft owners. Newjetco now manages three aircraft in Russia and two in Switzerland.
