The USA Department of Defense is here in force, with around 20 personnel at the stand alone representing the US Airforce, Navy, Army and Marine in Hall 2/A33.

Drawing the crowds are two networked helmet-mounted target and display, look-and-shoot systems which allow virtual head-to-head combat. These games are demonstrations of the technology's capabilities.

The visually-coupled acquisition and targeting system programme is currently in developmental phase; first flight is due in October.

It is thought to be the newest, latest and greatest state-of-the-art system which will replace the Vista Sabre II.

Changes in tactics and components as well as deficiencies in the older system were taken into consideration in developing this latest system that meets operational requirements.
