Flight testing of the Quiet Technology (QT)-developed Stage 3 hushkit for the BAC One-Eleven will begin early in 1998. The project's co-ordinator, European Aviation, is confident that UK Civil Aviation Authority certification will be in place by the end of 1998. Components for the prototype kit are in manufacture at QT's plant in Miami, Florida, and a One-Eleven will be delivered to Miami for proof-of-concept noise and performance flight-testing.
