US lessor International Lease Finance has finalised its earlier agreement to take 50 firm Embraer 190-E2 and 195-E2 aircraft, the re-engined versions of the largest members of the E-Jets family.
ILFC is taking 25 of each type and has also taking options on the same number again, giving it up to 100 E2 aircraft overall.
Embraer values the firm order at $2.85 billion at catalogue prices. The deal was unveiled as a letter of intent during the Paris air show.
It intends to start delivering 190-E2s in 2018 and the 195-E2 the following year. The airframer is also developing an -E2 version of its Embraer 175.
