Leasing company GECAS has converted 20 existing Boeing 737 Max orders to the newly launched Max 10 variant.
GECAS has 170 Max jets on order, making it the type's largest customer among lessors, notes Boeing. Flight Fleets Analyzer indicates that, before the conversion, all of GECAS's Max orders were for the Max 8.
"This 737 Max 10 order further enhances our fleet with the newest technology, offering our customers commonality along with increased range and available seating," states GECAS chief executive Alec Burger.
The 737 Max 10 variant was launched this morning at the Paris air show.
