China Southern Airlines has taken delivery of the first of 10 Boeing 777-300ERs it has on order.
The carrier has configured the aircraft with 309 seats across four classes – 4 first, 24 business, 44 premium economy and 227 economy class seats – and intends to deploy it on services to North America, says Boeing.

“The 777-300ER's long-haul capability is a perfect fit for our network expansion plans as it will enable us serve our existing long-range markets more efficiently and open new routes in the future," says China Southern’s chief operating officer Zhang Zifang. "The 777-300ER will support the development of Guangzhou as our main international hub and will be a vital part of our 'Canton Route' services.”
Flightglobal’s Ascend Online Fleets database shows that China Southern is scheduled to receive three more aircraft in 2014, and the remaining six in 2015 and 2016.
