Singapore Airlines (SIA) has chosen Osaka as the first scheduled destination it will serve for its new Boeing 787-10 fleet.
As launch customer for the largest Dreamliner variant, the aircraft is scheduled for delivery in March. SIA says that the 787-10s will initially be used on crew-training flights to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur before beginning regular Osaka services in May.

SIA's 787s will be fitted with 337 seats in two classes: 36 in business and 301 in economy.
"We are honoured to be the first to fly the highly advanced Boeing 787-10," says the carrier's senior vice-president for marketing planning Tan Kai Ping. "It will be a key element of SIA’s overall growth strategy, enabling us to expand our network reach and strengthen our operations."
Flight Fleets Analyzer indicates that SIA has firm orders for 49 Boeing 787-10s, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-TEN engines.
