Italian leisure carrier Neos took delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 on 18 December.
Neos converted an order for three 787-8s to the -9 variant in May 2016.
It is leasing the Rolls-Royce Trent-powered aircraft from AerCap and will base the twinjet at Milan Malpensa airport.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows Neos also has five Boeing 737s and three Boeing 767s in service, with two 737 Max 8s on order.
Its serves a number of destinations potentially suited to 787-9 flights from Italy, including Cancun, Havana, the Maldives, Nanjing and Zanzibar, FlightGlobal schedules data shows.
