The parent company of US regional operator SkyWest Airlines has ordered 20 Embraer E175 jets, with deliveries expected to commence in the second half of the year.
The deal is valued at $972 million, and is already included in Embraer’s 2019 fourth-quarter backlog, the airframer states in a media release.
The new jets, configured with 76 seats, will be operated within the American Airlines network.
Cirium fleets data shows that SkyWest has 156 E175s in operation, with another six on order.
