Operators and owners of Bendix/King KMD 550/850 general aviation multifunction displays and KDR 610 receivers can now update their systems with additional XM Weather products at no cost. Honeywell is providing the free XM Weather system update to purchasers of a database update.
“Using the KDR610 digital receiver, the XM Weather feed provides the KMD 550/850 cockpit with critical information about severe weather storms and tracking, lightning, winds, freezing levels, precipitation and other potentially hazardous conditions,” says Dan Barks, director, General Aviation Avionics. “The update arms pilots with the weather information they need.”
