Diamond is here with the D-Jet production-conforming aircraft making its Oshkosh debut.

Mark Lee, director marketing and sales D-Jet says: “There are a lot of position holders that haven’t had the chance to see the aircraft yet. Here at Oshkosh they’ve got the chance to see the mock-up side-by-side with the aircraft.”

Lee believes the company is well placed to certify and deliver the D-Jet in the second quarter of next year.

The company will be increasing the price in August and Lee says that this is, to an extent, boosting sales. However, he remained tight-lipped about total number of orders.
As of AirVenture last year, orders were more than 300 and Lee says the first two to three years of production is sold out. In the first year Diamond expects to build 75 aircraft with 140 in the second and 200 per year thereafter.

The personal jet market is stating to hot up and Lee says:  “We will be the first to market with our design.”
