Cessna introduced at the opening day of AirVenture 2010 a new upgrade package for its Citation Mustang.

The $75,000 package includes a more luxurious interior, a special paint scheme, a two-year maintenance programme, synthetic vision, electronic charts and locking fuel caps. It is the first upgrade package Cessna has offered since the Mustang entered service in 2007. Cessna has since delivered over 300 Mustangs. “It packages more value in the aircraft. We got a number of operators who were in interested in a little more higher-end, who wanted to distinguish themselves from other Mustang operators,” says Cessna vice president marketing Thomas Aniello.

Synthetic vision, electronic charts and locking fuel caps are now available as options on the $3 million Mustang but this is the first time Cessna has offered the other three upgrades on the aircraft. The new interior is similar to what is now offered on the CitationJet line. Cessna began taking orders for the High Sierra at AirVenture 2010.
