Equipements Respiratoires à Oxygene de Secours (EROS) has become the first company to have its emergency-oxygen equipment and masks certificated by Russia and the CIS countries. The CIS Aviation Register and the Federal Aviation Service of Russia issued the certification on 3 June. New Russian aircraft such as the Tupolev Tu-204 and Ilyushin Il-96 have Russian systems fitted, but older aircraft such as the Tu-154 have no emergency oxygen. Retrofit of older aircraft is now a possibility.
