Philippine Airlines is continuing with its modest network expansion, planned before the industry crisis, by launching services to Bangkok and Shanghai. It is flying five times weekly to Bangkok with an Airbus A330-300, a route it suspended in 1999. Shanghai will be served with a similar frequency using a Boeing 737-400 in an all-economy class configuration.
