Palomer Products rescued Swedish firm Microdata Innovation which was making its Paris air show debut.

Microdata Innovation set up its training radar jammer outside Hall 3 only to find that its computer screen was not readable in the bright sunshine.

Software manager Bo Hesselstrom says: "Our screen, which is of excellent standard, just was not legible in the bright sunshine - so we borrowed one. It works very well."

The one he borrowed was the new sunlight-readable Solarstar Bright display which is designed to provide superior quality images in all light operating conditions.

Microdata Innovation develops, produces and delivers radar jammers. This training jammer is PC operated and used for training people on how to jam the radar of attacking aircraft.

It operates over a wide frequency range including FM, AM and pulse-modulation. The generators can automatically adjust to follow the frequency changes of enemy radar transmitters.
