Pratt & Whitney is on track to increase its aftermarket business revenues this year, despite continuing volatility in the maintenance market, says John Thackrah, vice-president of aftermarket services. "We are on plan to increase our revenues in 2002 compared to 2001, but at a slower rate. The target is still $4 billion, but this is probably achievable in 2007 and not 2005 as originally planned," he says.

On the civil side, P&W has seen business expand for its large PW4000 turbofan and the CFM56, while on the military front, work on the F117-PW-100 powerplant for the F-117 fighter is rising.
