The Pantera targeting pod, the export version of Lockheed Martin's Sniper XR system, was deployed for the first time by an export nation when the Royal Norwegian Air Force dispatched it to the Exercise Maple Flag air combat exercise at Cold Lake, Canada.
The Pantera allowed Norwegian pilots to be assigned the most challenging targets during the exercise, claims Lockheed Martin.
