Japan Airlines (JAL) has contracted Pratt & Whitney (P&W) to provide maintenance on its fleet of PW4000 and International Aero Engines V2500 powerplants.
The 10-year engine management agreement, offered through Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners, includes on-wing engine performance monitoring for 75 engines.
Financial terms have not been disclosed.
"Our decision to select Pratt & Whitney to provide engine monitoring services was based on working closely with Pratt & Whitney to develop timely, accurate maintenance recommendations based on real-time fleet performance data," says JAL vice-president, engineering department Yukihiko Kanda.
