DUNLOP AWARDS TYRE SUPPPLY CONTRACT FOR CRJ1000

Dunlop Aviation Tyres is using the show as the platform to debut new nose and main wheel tyres selected by Bombardier for its 100-seat CRJ100. The new agreement builds on previous supply deals Dunlop has achieved with Bombardier covering the Dash 8 turboprops and other CRJ variants. Two of Dunlop's largest customers are Lufthansa and Northwest Airlink carrier Mesaba Airlines.

Dunlop is one of two approved tyre suppliers for the CRJ100, and plans to perform build and retread work as its Birmingham, UK facility.

Adria Airways, Brit Air, MyAir and an undisclosed customer have placed 45 firm orders for the CRJ1000, which is scheduled to enter service in 2010.
