Germany is expected to place a study contract next year for an upgrade to its air force inventory of Taurus KEPD 350 cruise missiles, says Werner Kaltenegger, managing director of MBDA Germany. "We have discussed datalinks and other opportunities," he says, with the enhancement to enable the missile to provide battle damage assessment information. Taurus Systems has now delivered more than 500 of the 600 weapons under contract for the German air force, he adds.
