Taikoo Engine Services Xiamen (TEXL), the former GE Engine Services Xiamen, expects to achieve Civil Aviation Administration of China certification and begin some GE90-115B repairs by year-end. There are more than 860 of the 115,000lb-thrust (510kN) engines in service and the first are entering the beginning of the regular maintenance phase of their life cycles, says GE Aviation Services vice-president Tom Gentile.
