Star Alliance member US Airways is launching Sicma Aero Seat's unique new Cirrus seat with the delivery of its new Airbus A330-200 widebody aircraft.
Designed by James Park Associates, the Cirrus business-class seat is on display at Sicma parent Zodiac Aerospace's exhibit (hall 2, C101).
It is the first seat to be certificated with a reverse herringbone design and will allow passengers in US Airways' "Envoy" class to lie fully flat, according to Zodiac.
Plans are in place for the delivery this year of five A330s to US Airways. The first two will be deployed next month on new service from the carrier's Philadelphia hub to Tel Aviv.
