The Lockheed Martin C-5M Super Galaxy is the king of the US Air Force's transport fleet. For this week's show it carried the Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter that is beside it in the static display directly from Dover AFB in Maryland.

The aircraft on static was built in 1982 as a C-5A. Later it went through a major upgrade to the C-5M standard, with new General Electric CF-6 80C2 engines.

Show visitors will be able to explore the aircraft's massive cargo hold, which can carry virtually everything the US military needs to fight. To facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo, the fuselage can be lowered - 'squatted' in crew speak - on its landing gear.
