EADS has launched a recruitment drive at the Paris air show as it seeks to fill 5,000 positions this year.
"EADS needs to recruit 5000 people this year for roles including engineering, manufacturing and support," says Thierry Baril, chief HR officer EADS.
The European aerospace giant and its Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter divisions are inviting prospective candidates from "all over the world" to visit its HR Lounge "EADS Careers" area at the EADS Paris pavilion where they will be able to meet company experts, engineers and HR representatives to discuss career opportunities.
EADS says it is seeking graduates, students and experienced professionals in the fields of composites, system and mechanical engineering, as well as in software design and IT, and is also looking for technicians at all levels of experience.
It will also be holding a series of 21 workshops during the event covering topics ranging from the development of composites in next generation helicopters courtesy of Eurocopter, to the possibilities of bringing space benefits to earth and exploring the universe with Astrium. Other workshops will cover diversity and graduate opportunities.
Candidates will need to have pre-registered online to attend the workshops.
