Indonesian carrier Garuda has signed for 25 Airbus A320s, including 10 Neos, for its Citilink low-cost carrier subsidiary.
The deal, announced during the Paris air show, includes options for 10 A320neos.
Airbus values the transaction at $2.2 billion. The aircraft replace existing Boeing 737-300/400s. Emirsyah Satar, chief executive at Garuda, said it would continue to use the 737-800s in its main full service fleet.

Beta Technologies has landed a deposit-backed order for up to 20 of its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) Alia A250 aircraft from medical operator Metro Aviation.
While Ryanair has factored in continued delays to its incoming Boeing 737 Max 8-200s, the European low-cost carrier still believes the airframer is will be able to certify the Max 10 version in time to meet deliveries in the first half of 2027.
