MB Aerospace is acquiring aero-engine business Delta Industries to expand its aerospace operations in the US.

The tie-up will see MB Aerospace expand its business to projected revenues of more than £100 million ($160 million) and from 370 to 550 employees for the 2013 financial year.

The acquisition follows MB Aerospace chief executive Craig Gallagher leading a secondary management buyout of MB Aerospace sponsored by Washington DC-based private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners in March.

"With its wide range of capabilities, long-standing customer relationships and its strong management team, the Delta business has been a long-term target for MB Aerospace. It is a perfect fit with our ambitions for future growth," says Gallagher.
