UK manufacturer Sigma Precision Components is celebrating a new three-year, multi-million dollar contract with GE Aviation.

Under the deal, which Sigma says builds on existing business, the company will deliver rigid pipe assemblies and precision machined parts to GE in North America.

Sigma cited its global capability for enabling it to offer GE a competitive proposal. Its facilities in the Midlands and China will be working to fulfil the contract.

Part of Avingtrans's Aerospace division, Sigma manufactures rigid pipe assemblies, precision machined components and fasteners for aerospace and other markets. Its specialist processes include tube manipulation, fabrications, machining, welding, brazing, non-destructive testing and X-ray.

Access to sister company Chengdu Sigma Precision Components in China allows Sigma to offer local supply combined with the highest possible value to clients through engineering experience and low-cost sourcing.
