Avianca Brazil's owner Synergy has signed a memorandum of understanding for 62 Airbus A320neos.
“These 62 A320neo aircraft will make it possible for Avianca Brazil to take an important leap toward growing and modernising its fleet, while improving passenger experience,” says German Efromovich, chairman of Synergy.
The airline already operates 38 A320 family aircraft and one Airbus A330 Freighter.
John Leahy, Airbus chief operating officer, customers says: “The A320neo family will deliver Avianca Brazil with enhanced performance capabilities in key airports such as Santos Dumont in Rio de Janiero.”
When the order is firmed, Airbus would have sold 407 A320neos in Latin America to seven customers. They are: Avianca, Azul, Interjet, LATAM Airlines Group, Synergy, VivaAerobus and Volaris.
