Four US defence firms have joined forces to provide a web-based component MRO offering for operators of the Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter.
Derco Aerospace, Eaton, Honeywell International, and UTC Aerospace Systems will cooperate to provide a web portal that will help streamline repairs for F-16 components.
"Together, these four organizations are able to leverage their individual strength — the world-class content and quality of the OEMs, along with the integrated and value-based solutions of Derco — in a coordinated and meaningful manner to provide operators and MROs around the world a truly robust F-16 repair solution," says Derco vice president Mark Konzal.
"The four organizations came together with the same focus: change the user experience in managing repairs, increase component repair reliability factors, and improve F-16 fleet readiness rates worldwide."
Derco says that key benefits of the offering will include improved visibility of parts availability, OEM- approved repairs, obsolescence management, and inventory optimisation.
