MTU Aero Engines is holding its series of summer lectures at Paris for the first time. The lecture concept, launched at last year's Farnborough Air Show, has the theme of "Powerful history creating strong visions" and features prominent aviation experts.

The lectures will be held at the company's chalet (Row B, No 14) from 16-20 June, starting tomorrow at 16:30, and will last for 30 minutes, followed by a question and answer session.

16 June - "Higher, faster and farther: a century of powered flight" by Dr Jeremy Kinney of Washington's National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution. 17 June - "Future key drivers for airlines from Lufthansa's point of view" by Dr Karlheinz Haag, Lufthansa. 18 June - "Growing within environmental constraints: a major challenge for decades of aviation" by Etienne van Zuijlen, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. 19 June - "Meeting the challenges in aero engine technology development" by Prof Dr Klaus Broichhausen, head of MTU's new products and technologies centre. 20 June - "The future of air transportation" by Prof Dr John Hansman, director of the International Center for Air Transporation, MIT, Boston.
