US systems specialist Parker Aerospace took the lifetime value of its business on the Boeing 787 to over $1 billion with the announcement as the show opened that it is to supply the hydraulic subsystem and Trent 1000 engine fuel system for the new high-efficiency type.

In addition to the hydraulics and fuel, Parker has been selected by Hamilton Sundstrand to supply liquid cooling pumps and reservoirs for the 787 air management system, and is working with General Electric on new low-NOx combustor technology for use in the aircraft's GEnx engine.
