PARKER HANNIFIN has acquired Abex/NWL for $193 million, in a move designed to complete the group's offering of hydraulic systems to the aircraft industry.
Abex/NWL will become a part of Parker Hannifin's aerospace systems and controls subsidiary Parker Bertea Aerospace, bringing with it new lines in pumps, servo valves, thrust-reverser actuators and missile controls.
Abex/NWL, which had $200 million sales in 1995, has three US manufacturing sites, including its base in Michigan, as well as plants in Germany and Japan.
