From runway to raceway - PDQ Airspares has this year added a racing car to its display (Hall1/A7).

The company, a Boeing production support organisation, supplies expendable and rotable components. It aims to highlight the advances it has made in the field of transferable technology.

Many of the fastenings, paints and composites which feature on a Mercedes-powered Penske PC24 featured on its stand, are also used in aircraft manufacture.

Steve Peebles, sales and marketing manager, says: "We've tried to come up with a light-hearted way of making a serious presentation. PDQ standards for Pretty Damn Quick, and the PC24 is certainly that. If it had wings it would fly!"
