Spectrum Astro has selected Orbital Science's Pegasus XL air-launched booster to carry the US Air Force Communications/Navigation Outage Forecasting System satellite into orbit in 2003.The satellite will provide US military forces with early warning of ionospheric conditions able to interfere with space-based communications, navigation and surveillance.
