++ Evergreen International Aviation has named Joseph O'Gorman president and chief executive (CEO). He joins after retiring as CEO of Reno Air upon its sale to American Airlines. Timothy Wahlberg becomes chairman of Evergreen, the activities of which include helicopter charters, a cargo airline and aircraft leases. He succeeds founder Del Smith. ++ America West Airlines has appointed Thomas Weir vice-president (VP) and treasurer.He previously served at Airbus Industrie of North America, in various financial roles. ++ Richard Huckle is Rolls-Royce's new VP customer operations, helicopters, with Dean Kimsey appointed VP programmes and production operations, helicopters. Both are based in Indianapolis. ++ Singapore Airlines' head of engineering, Chew Leng Seng, is to become CEO of subsidiary SIA Engineering, ahead of a planned stock exchange listing, reports Flight International sister on-line service, Air Transport Intelligence. ++ Pierre Roy has been made president of Canadian Boeing 747 freighter lease specialist Majestic Aviation Services. ++ British Airways subsidiary CityFlyer has named Chas Ibberson deputy general manager of its London Gatwick hub, soon to expand operations for BA. He previously worked for Caledonian Airways. ++ Qantas Airways has appointed Karyn Baylis senior VP, the Americas, replacing Wally Mariani, who becomes group general manager, the Americas, New Zealand and Pacific Islands. ++ Air France has named Christopher Korenke VP and general manager US, succeeding Jean-Louis Pinson, who is now executive VP and chief operating officer, Americas. ++ Martin Dandridge has become executive VP of Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems and Aerostructures sector. Alan Doshier succeeds him as sector VP, airborne ground surveillance and battle management systems. ++ Sherwood Brown joins FlightSafety International as director, information systems. ++ Satellite-based broadband services start-up Astrolink has made Francis Latapie VP government and regulatory affairs.
