Fairchild Dornier has appointed Dean Rush as president of its corporate aircraft division, based at the manufacturer's sales headquarters at Herndon near Washington DC. Rush takes responsibility for corporate aircraft design, development, marketing and customer support. The company has also appointed Jay Jenkins vice president aircraft sales contracts. He was previously assistant general counsel at Northwest Airlines. British Midland's vice president-Americas is to be Rohan Alce, the airlines current director of cargo. BM is to start scheduled services to Washington and Chicago from Manchester in the second quarter. Rolls-Royce has named Mike Terrett as the managing director of its airlines business. He has been president and chief executive at International Aero Engines for the past two years. Terrett is to be replaced at IAE by Stephen Heath, formerly vice president customer service at IAE consortium member Pratt & Whitney. Andy Stevens has been appointed managing director, defence (Europe) at the engine company. He was formerly chief operating officer at Messier-Dowty International. Messier Services, the specialist landing gear repair and services operation, has appointed Benoit Gosset as its chief operating officer. He previously held a similar position at the company responsible for Europe and Asia. Doncasters, the specialist UK aerospace castings concern, has named Eric Lewis as chief executive. David Simms, who had been temporarily filling the position, will stay with the company in an advisory role while it reviews future strategic options. Dassault Falcon Jet has promoted Jeffrey Habib to vice president, international marketing at the Teterboro, New Jersey-based corporate jet sales and support arm of Dassault Aviation. Robert Smith has been promoted to vice president, industrial operations from director of commercial completions at the company's Little Rock facility.
