KLM president and chief executive Leo van Wijk has succeeded Air France's Jean-Cyril Spinetta as chairman of the Association of European Airlines. Roger Seager, former programme manager for the General Electric CF6 military engine, has been promoted to vice-president of marketing and sales at GE Aircraft Engines. Claude Valle has replaced Thierry Hurtes as director of military export operations at Snecma Moteurs. Valle was formerly deputy director customer support at Thales Airborne Systems. Bryan Moss, vice-chairman of Gulfstream, will retire in April, but will continue to work for the company as a consultant. Moss joined Gulfstream in 1995. Steven Udvar-Hazy has been elected chairman and chief executive of International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), succeeding Leslie Gonda, who becomes chairman of the executive committee. John Plueger succeeds Udvar-Hazy as president and chief operating officer, and Alan Lund will become vice-chairman and chief finance officer. Donald Bielinski has taken over as president and chief executive of the online aerospace and defence exchange Exostar. He was previously with MRO supplies provider WW Grainger. Airtours has appointed Duncan Wilson to its board as group operations director. Wilson was formerly deputy chief executive of Airtours UK Leisure. Kazia Kantor and Angus Porter will also join the Airtours board as non-executive directors. Mike Toms has joined BAA's board as planning and regulatory affairs director. He was previously head of airport economics at the UK airport operator. Boeing Commercial Airplane's executive vice-president of sales is to retire. Seddik Belyamani will be replaced by Toby Bright, vice-president business strategy and marketing. Nicole Piasecki, vice- president of sales, leasing firms, will succeed Bright. Frontier Airlines has named Ronald McClellan as its vice-president of maintenance and engineering, replacing Jon Bartram.
