Finmeccanica has named three new members of its management team. Moreno Martini becomes senior vice-president (VP) legal and corporate affairs, Giancarlo Grasso is senior VP product policy, while Agostino Melani becomes senior VP logistics services. Nicolas Zalonis will advise the chairman and the chief executive on marketing and commercial affairs. Engine overhaul and repair specialist Sigma Aerospace has named Keith Jones as managing director and Rick Meopham as director marketing and sales. United Airlines has named Peggy Dedo to succeed James Keenan as VP engineering and technical support. Gulf Air has appointed Mahfood Ali Alharthy as general manager in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Alharthy was previously area manager for the Far East. HiEnergy Technologies has hired Isaac Yeffet as an aviation security consultant for its explosive detection project. Yeffet was formerly director of global security for El Al and a senior intelligence director of the Israeli secret service. Charles Hughes has been promoted to VP client relations for Executive Jet Management, a charter aviation services company.
