- International Aero Engines (IAE) has named Jon Beatty to succeed president Mark King when he leaves the company next year to join Rolls-Royce. Beatty is currently Pratt & Whitney's vice-president of operational commercial engines. P&W has chosen Mike Field, currently vice-president of sales, marketing and customer support, as successor to Beatty. The company has separately appointed Jim Maser president of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne.

- Taher Agueel is the new chief executive Saudi Arabian air transport company National Air Services.
- United Airlines has promoted Dave Myrick to vice-president of sales, Americas.
- Northrop Grumman has made three appointments to its space technology sector: Steve Hixson is taking on the role of vice-president of advanced concepts Timothy Frei becomes vice-president of ISR business development and Brian Chappel is vice-president of contracts, pricing and programmes business management.
