PEOPLE moves
Following its acquisition of Frontier and Midwest Airlines, Republic Airways has promoted Don Osmundson to VP flight operations and Kathy Woolridge to VP human resources. Frontier's Daniel Shurz is now VP planning and strategy at Republic, and former Air Canada VP network planning Greg Aretakis is now VP revenue production for Frontier and Midwest. Jim Ream, long-time chief of US regional carrier ExpressJet, is to succeed the retiring Carmine Romano at American Airlines as VP maintenance and engineering. Neil Burgess has moved from CIT Aerospace in New York to Amentum Capital in Dublin, as senior VP and head of marketing and sales. Gulfstream has appointed Greg Laabs VP as general manager of its Appleton, Wisconsin facility; he has been interim general manager since April. Niel Holt has been promoted to director of the Space Dynamics Laboratory at Utah State University. Michael Offer has joined London law firm Harbottle & Lewis as a consultant in its aviation and finance group. Bye Energy has promoted Debra Wilcox to senior VP, focusing on bio-derived aviation fuel development.
