Victor Aguado becomes director-general of Eurocontrol from 1 January, replacing Yves Lambert, who is retiring. Aguado has worked in public and private air traffic management, and is currently with the International Civil Aviation Organisation in Montreal. Roger Banaszak has been named vice-president (VP) business development and Ginnell Schiller VP marketing of US-based business aircraft charter operator Executive Jet Management, which also supports the NetJets fractional ownership programme. US space systems manufacturer Orbital Sciences has named Garrett Pierce executive VP and chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Jeffrey Pirone. Pierce currently occupies the same posts at Sensormatic Electronics. Jorma Eloranta, executive VP operations at Finnair, stands down on 1 October. Hannes Bjurstrom has been appointed senior VP operations. BBA Aviation has appointed Bruce Van Allen president and chief executive (CEO) North America, Elizabeth Haskins president and CEO Signature Flight Support, Gary Boekenkamp VP marketing North America and Peter Whitehead CEO Europe. AAS Landing Gear Services, a subsidiary of American Aircarriers Support, has named Pablo Prieto president and Jay Palmer VP sales. David Miller has joined Garrett Aviation Services' Jet Centre at Santa Barbara as VP and general manager from Innotech Execaire Aviation, where he was executive VP and chief operating officer (COO). Michael Alcox has replaced Colin Cohen as senior VP and CFO of aerospace fasteners giant Fairchild. He held the same posts from 1987 to 1996. Cohen is joining an internet company. Online aerospace exchange Avolo has appointed Jeff Bowles COO. He joins from Jet Support/Volvo Aero Services. Swiss turboprop aircraft specialist Pilatus has named Angelo Fiataruolo CEO of its US business.
