Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems Sector (ISS) has named John Mazach vice president (VP) and integrated product team leader of its new Aircraft Product Support & Services unit. Mazach joined Northrop Grumman in 1999 after 32 years in the US Navy. He was most recently deputy director, field support services. Two of the three former Hughes Electronics units purchased by Boeing to form Boeing Satellite Systems have announced senior management changes. David Lillington has been named president of spacecraft solar cells manufacturer Spectrolab, responsible for operational and financial matters. He has been acting president since Dieter Zemmrich retired. Hughes Space and Communications has meanwhile appointed Joseph DeSarla to the newly created position of executive VP, with Alexis Livanos succeeding DeSarla as senior VP operations. Ronald Machl becomes senior VP business development. Peter Roberts has been appointed chief executive (CEO) of struggling Air Niugini. A former Qantas executive, Roberts also spent five years as CEO of Air Vanuatu, participated in the restructuring of Air Nauru, managed Australia's Norfolk Jet Express and helped launch India's Jet Airways. Replacing Andrew Ogil, he faces a tough task to restore Air Niugini to profitability. Canada's Innotech-Execaire Aviation has appointed Jim Morrison VP and general manager of executive aircraft services specialist Execaire. He replaces Rich Gage, now president of the Canadian Business Aircraft Association. US aircraft lessor Pegasus Aviation has named Richard Oster senior VP administration and chief financial officer. He joins from Crowley Maritime. US defence electronics company DRS Technologies has named Kip Hansen VP government relations. He joins from Raytheon. Robert Atwell, director of Rolls-Royce North America's RTM322 helicopter engine project, joins as VP marketing US Army programmes.
