The US General Aviation Manufacturers Association has elected Bill Boisture, president of Gulfstream Aerospace, as its chairman for 2003. Clay Jones, chairman of Rockwell Collins, was elected vice-chairman. David Wang, former chairman of GE China, has joined Boeing as president of Boeing China. Airbus has named Gerhard Puttfarcken as chairman and general manager of Airbus Deutschland, replacing Hans-Joachim Gante, who will be managing director of the German aerospace industry BDLI. Puttfarcken was formerly senior vice-president of the single-aisle programme. Imagery specialist Evans & Sutherland has named Richard Flitton, formerly VP of the commercial simulation division, as managing director of UK operations.
