Moshe Keret, president and chief executive of Israel Aircraft Industries, is to resign later this year. He is expected to remain until the vacant post of chairman is filled in the next few months. The UK Defence Aviation Repair Agency has named Archie Hughes, previously chief executive of Vickers Defence Systems, as its new chief executive. Cobham has named Wayne French managing director of its countermeasures business, part of Cobham Aerospace Systems. French was formerly financial director of Flight Refuelling, another Cobham company. Lockheed Martin has appointed Richard Ambrose president of maritime systems and sensors. Ambrose was formerly general manager of Raytheon/Hughes. Tom Williams will replace Ray Wilson as executive vice-president (VP)procurement at Airbus. His place as managing director of Airbus UK will be taken by Iain Gray. JetBlue has appointed John Harvey, formerly senior VP of Skyworks Capital, as VP corporate finance and treasurer. Smiths Aerospace has named Michael Katzorke as VP of supply chain management, a post he formerly held with Cessna Aircraft. Stephen Friedrich, VP of sales finance for Rolls-Royce North America, has been promoted to director of business development for the corporate aircraft business. He replaces Peter Turner, who is joining International Aero Engines.
