Yair Shamir has succeeded Michael Levi as chairman of El Al. He is expected to stay in the post until the airline is privatised at the end of the year. America West Airlines has promoted America West Vacations president Travis Christ to vice-president (VP) marketing, replacing Ken Feldman; call centre chief Kara Gin to VP financial planning and analysis; and associate general counsel Paul Lambert to VP corporate real estate. Stanton Sloane will replace Al Smith as executive VP Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems &Solutions. Mooney Airplane has appointed David Copeland VP sales and marketing; he was formerly VP worldwide sales at Beechcraft.
