* Stefan Vilner, commercial director of Scandinavian low-cost airline Sterling, has taken over from Wolfgang Kurth as temporary president of the European Low Fares Airline Association (ELFAA). Kurth has stepped down following his resignation from his post as chief executive of the German low-cost airline Hapag-Lloyd Express. Stefan Vilner joined Sterling as commercial director in 2003. He previously worked for low-cost Go-Fly.
* Vought Aircraft Industries has named Lloyd "Skip" Sorenson as executive vice-president and chief financial officer, following the retirement of William McMillan. Sorenson previously worked at Dell as corporate business group controller.
* Meggitt Aerospace Equipment has appointed James Duncan director of business development. Duncan was previously responsible for strategic business development at Meggitt Safety Systems.
* EVA Airways has promoted two members of its board of directors. Former president Steve Lin has been appointed chairman and former chief executive and vice-president K W Chang has been made president.
