Turkey is in discussions with Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) over a possible deal to upgrade another 40-50 of its air force McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom fighters. Ankara has previously contracted IAI to modify 53 aircraft for $300 million, with this work split between Israel and Turkey. The parties are negotiating workshare on the future F-4 upgrade.
