Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A340-300, as part of its fleet-renewal programme. This will see 24 Airbus aircraft delivered to the carrier over the next 20 months, including four A340-300s, eightA330-300s and 12 A320s. The A340-300s, which join a fleet of four smaller -200s which have been used to initiate new long-haul routes, have a264-seat three-class cabin layout.
