Phillips Screw Company is demonstrating its super screwing device here at the show. The powerful tool comes with several detachable ends and can be used to service the Airbus A380, A350XWB and the Boeing 787. The new system will be used on the Trent 1000 engine casing on ANA’s 787 aircraft and can be adapted to install flooring and fasteners elsewhere on the plane, slashing maintenance costs. It can also work at an angle. The semi-automated system also comes with an optional Bluetooth package that sends feedback to a remote standalone computer, enabling engineers to track maintenance.
